I received a health check notification from my GP surgery Central Clinic, Dudley on the 14th April requesting that I confirm an appointment for the 3rd of May at 11.20am. The message was sent from a number belonging to Dr T Safdar and natural I assumed the appointment was with my GP. When I arrived at the surgery, I was greeted at the door by a GP staff member who requested the nature of my enquiry today and I then confirmed that I had an appointment with the GP. I mentioned to her that I tried to call earlier in them month as I was severely unwell due to a virus infection but was unable to reach the surgery and when I managed to get a hold of them the appointment was given 3 weeks after my initial call. The young women then disregarded what I had informed her of in terms my experiences in trying to get hold of the surgery and she mentioned the surgery a new phone system in place (this was confirmed by the surgery text message on the 27th of April). She informed me the appointment was with the nurse and not the GP and that I had confirmed the appointment online, therefore somehow, I knew the appointment was not with the GP. Please note that when confirming the appointment there is no message that confirms the appointment is with the nurse, the text message simply confirms the appointment for the 3rd of May and it mentions the message is sent by Dr T Safdar. The young lady became abrasive and disregarded what I was trying to convey to her concerning my experiences, she then asked me about my reasons for wanting to see a GP and I told her I did not want to discuss in front of other patients waiting at the surgery, she then asked to discuss this with her in private which I declined as I did not feel the need to discuss my private issues except with a GP. She then accused me of being disruptive and argumentative, I told her that I no-longer wanted to continue this conversation with her as she clearly had no interest in understanding the frustrations and concerns of patients coming to the surgery. Furthermore, she then when into the reception area and told other staff members that I was being disruptive and so I had challenged her asked her why she was continuing the conversation with other staff members. By this time, I had seen enough and decided to leave the surgery due to this young ladys behaviour, abrasive and confrontational approach to patients. I would like to make you aware that I will raising a complaint with the NHS and the relevant authorities concerning what occurred today and I hope other patients do not have to experience this at the surgery.

Just moved over from stepping stones. Absolutely horrendous staff and cannot get appointments. When I first came in to Central Clinic for a registration form, the reception ladies were a breathe of fresh air. Helpful and smiling. Not sure what will happen with booking but just the initial interaction is big thumbs up! pleasant change and quick to assist in any way they can !

I have been with doctors for two years and since it has been under new management it has been fantastic. The girl at the desk is very inviting very helpful with trying her best to get you appointments and the doctors are excellent. They don't seem to rush and they are very thorough. Communication is great too
