If given the of Allied as the surveyors I cancel the application and put down the fees as a loss. We had a property valued at 535k after buying it at 432k and spending 277k on it. Reason was they were unsure of the rents even though they had the ASTs. I went to another lender managed to get a more realistic valuation with no works what so ever it was valued at 865k. Never use them.

I'm staircasing my shared ownership house up to 100% ownership and the Housing Association appointed Nick Wakeman to value the house. I was nervous that he would overvalue it but I needn't have worried. It was clear he had already done his homework on prices in my locality. The service was quick and efficient and resulted in an accurate valuation. Thank you

I have brought a few properties now and never in my life have I seen such a pathetic company. The mortgage I applied for was via The Mortgage works and it was a free valuation and I still didnt even get my moneys worth. They do not even deserve a single star, I read the reviews and thought it cant all be bad some people probably got down valued on there personal properties. But Allied surveyors were a disaster from start to finish first of all they refused to collect the keys to do a valuation which I have never heard of. Secondly they stated that the property had was affected by the environment as the environment pack stated action to be taken if they were to even read the pack there were a list of 30 properties that had been affected for environment issues. Lastly they stated that were was structural damage with a few cracks on the wall I knew they wasnt because I have taken a few trusted builders around. After they declined my mortgage I applied for mortgage with Halifax they sent out e surve who I have previously dealt with they are amazing pick up the keys and advised yeah the house is fine its not structural damage and in the pack the house isnt on the effected list valued the property at 150,000 and I got my mortgage no issues. I usually use Halifax for my mortgages as I have a few buy to lets I thought I would try the mortgage works as they were offering a good rate never again Ill stick to Halifax and e surve If you get this company as a surveyor do not use them I wish I had took everyone elses advice pay if you have too these guys will ruin you getting a mortgage These are the cowboys of the surveyor industry
