Rik Honestly I just wanted to say the biggest thank you I don't know how you put up with us since when we first met back in December. We have been giving you stress since day 1 but somehow you still stuck with us and provided us with a day we will never forget. Not only did the food taste amazing, you just made sure we wernt stressed and tried to keep us relaxed the whole day. You also made sure the team served us each course on time and with such grace and excellence. I cannot fault anything! Thanks so much for everything!

Shimla catetered over 350 meals at our wedding over two meals. They were diligent and hospitable. The food was incredible. Paneer exceptional and we loved our plated starters. They accomdated to dietary requirements and had fantastic communication throughout. Can not recommend highly enough. Worked with them at Braxted Park.

When it comes to planning a wedding the first thing amongst others is the caterer & food. People always talk about the food during the meal (both at the Wedding/Reception) and on the way home. My now wife and I recently got married recently just over a month ago. (Yes a March wedding). Our Venue only permitted a selection of Indian/Asian caterers and Shimla was right at the top of list (Quite rightly so). We checked out their Instagram & Facebook and really loved the photos of unusual innovative concept of food as opposed to which we have come across at other weddings, (being family or friends). What intrigued us was their twist on Canaps which we wanted to encaptivate on our big day. We are both Gujarati and therefore importantly the post wedding lunch is a big deal (as everyone will be hungry). We reached out to Shimla and were welcomed by Ash, who has the patience and a vision. We had a rough idea of what we wanted food wise and so he welcomed us for a food tasting with other selections he had selected. Upon the food selection we were just blown away (all the food came out piping hot fresh as to be expected when tendering). Shimla was our first port of call and only port of call. Obviously we had our parents with us (the real food critics). Even they loved the food. Now when you go food tasting, it doesnt matter who you go to in the industry, the food will taste great as opposed to your big day, anything can happen as it is on a big scale. As bride and groom you dont have time to ensure all is as you expect. The true feedback is from your guests and family. Let us tell you something The food was exquisite (enjoyed even by the notorious moaners and groaners). Prior to the wedding we touched base with Ash on numerous occasions (he always picked up the phone and had time for us). We tweaked a couple of dishes. Put a little extra of Muttiya in the Undihyu etc. and he delivered. By the way his Mohanthal was divine! The Canapes at our Champagne Reception were out of this world and really delicious (as bride and groom we werent there on the floor), Shimla kindly served us food to our room where we were getting ready. So at least we got to try our menu! Ash and his team knew our venue well, he made sure food came from different routes so as to distribute the food evenly so everyone could enjoy and thats very important so take note! The reception food went down so well! The unanimous feedback we had was overwhelming. Refills of food were for fulfilled without delay plus the turn around to keep to our schedule for the evenings events were not delayed either. We cant praise Ash and and his team enough for delivering what we expected to such a high standard. People to this day talk about how amazing the food was. Our Experience with Shimla Foods Everything set out was made transparent to us (Nothing hidden) Anything we requested was adhered to and delivered The rapport we made with Ash made us feel very comfortable and excited His advice and guidance not just purely on food but on our wedding made the day run smoothly Thank you Ash from the bottom hearts and his team for everything you did for us. Shimla Foods went above and beyond our expectations! We couldnt have asked for a better caterer to work with on our special day. From the day of the tasting, Ash had been very communicative and even helped us with finding other vendors. We hired Shimlas for the morning ceremony lunch and wedding reception dinner and everyone that attended the wedding praised the food saying it was amazing. Ash also made sure that as the bride and groom we had enough time for food throughout the day and ensured we were made to feel special and looked after. There are always delays in a wedding which can be super stressful but Ash went out of his way to help us and relieved our stresses. As we were delayed for our reception entrance Ash helped time our entrances and cake cutting with the food being immediately brought out after so people can enjoy the starters. He even helped us place table numbers in the evening. We would highly recommend Ash and his team for catering for any event. To anyone looking to make their events special they would be a go to.
