Not the biggest fan of writing bad reviews for small businesses but this one requires it. I first spoke to Red Door Homes through spareroom asking about a property for rent, they shared a link to their site for a virtual viewing. I was in a rush and the replies on spareroom were slow so I went ahead and booked a viewing through their website, with the gotenant system.
I received a confirmation via email that the booking was on the date and time requested and they will see me there. I rang the office the following day to confirm it was going ahead, I got through to reception who took my details and told me theyd call me back.
The next day I went to the property for the viewing as it was confirmed via email and I had heard nothing else, but no one was there apart from a current tenant, I called the office and they asked for my name they confirmed my booking and said they were trying to get someone in the area to my as fast as possible and they would call me back. They knew I was waiting and had my booking confirmation in-front of them. They never called back or sent anyone.
I followed up later that evening with a message on spareroom expressing my disappointment at wasted time. I was told that my booking was never confirmed and that they couldnt do viewings currently because of working nights. If there was a SINGLE call back or even a message with an apology for wasting my time, whether it was due to their auto booking system saying it was confirmed when it wasnt or someone in the office messed up then this review wouldnt exist. All they had to do was take some ownership that they messed up and as a result wasted someones time. Recommend staying away from the company until they take some ownership of how they interact with potential customers.
