Staff for all services were excellent. Only improvement would be fixing the tap in room 5

Writing a review although I work there. I have worked at the hospital for many years but on this occasion I was a patient. I attended for an ENT procedure. From my first Consultation everything was explained very clearly also at my Pre Admission . On the day of my operation everyone was very professional and caring. I wasnt given any special treatment . I was treated with kindness as everyone is. I woke up very comfortable in recovery , spent a few hours back in my room then returned home. Thank you to everyone involved in my care , lots of who are hidden away behind the scenes.

I was seen by an ENT via the NHS route. I am not sure if that is what made the consultant's manner short, grumpy and very, very odd but I certainly wouldn't have wanted to pay for that treatment! The diagnosis of vestibular migraine appears to be correct but the manner of delivery was appalling. I have had attacks of vertigo and aura (which I didn't know was linked) since 2014 (when I was only in my 30s), getting progressively worse until the point where it was a permanent feature. The doctor had floated labyrinthitis, crystals in the ear...but nothing worked. I am still early 40s in full time work with two children to look after and it has been incredibly debilitating and sometimes terrifying (I thought my husband had turned the car once and grabbed him when he was driving). I was made to feel like I was wasting the consultant's time. He did no tests, he just apparently knew it was 'vestibular migraine' I was in and out in less than ten minutes for an appointment I waited years for. I did ring and complain to the practice but no one bothered to call me back.
