It's permanatley closed, As I found out upon arrival after a long 24 hour shift, I was starving! Starving for a sub! Sad times are upon us, the crisis has won :(

Went in on a Sunday at 1pm. There are signs saying about staff shortages and to ring the bell for service. Did this and waited with another customer. 10 mins later, staff member comes out and says "I'm about to close until 2pm for cleaning". I get the need to clean the store, but surely they would do this away from peak times? I would expect lunch time would be their busiest, between 12 and 2, so why close then? Nowhere did it say the store closed at this time, and neither was there any signage put out after we were informed we were not getting served. I understand they're struggling with staff, but all the counters were open, and there was bread in the racks behind, so I don't quite understand why they were closing during lunch hours, and couldn't serve us after we waited 10 minutes. It does make me wonder if this is a one off, or if this is common for this store. If so, it's beyond me how they've kept their franchise. I wouldn't be salty about it if there was just a sign saying they're closed. It's the fact we waited for service as the signs asked us to, then to be told they're not serving. If you're closed, put a sign up, turn the light off, or just close the counters.
