Took 610 off my credit card without my permission and I dont not have any insurance policy with Hastings Direct. I called them to sort it but but they say its nothing to do with them call Action Fraud!! Even though it is them thats taken the money!!!! Bunch of crooks!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Took out an insurance policy for my car with a black box, waited for it to be delivered and it arrived on the 29th April 2023, decided to road tax it on 2nd May 2022 as it was the weekend and was a bank holiday on Monday 1st May 2023 and receive a letter in the post today to say my car insurance had been cancelled! Theyve said it was because I didnt put the black box on my car in time, yet it has only been 3 days and I havent driven it anywhere, I didnt have road tax so how could I! I paid for the whole year and now theyve cancelled it and conned me out of money by charging me 60! I didnt agree to cancel the insurance, no where was I informed that the black box had to be put on the car immediately (How would that be possible with delays and delivery issues anyway?), and they refused to give me another quote! The customer service was probably the worst Ive ever experienced, extremely rude , kept transferring me over to different people to avoid finding a solution and one time they even transferred me over to the original person I spoke too! Goes to show they dont care and just want to scam people by cancelling insurance policies and taking your money when they decide to cancel! Stay away from this company, they dont care about their clients and will cancel your insurance and charge you for it!

Very poor customer service. The add on/change costs and small print costs are ridiculous. Where other companies provide transparent and durable services, Hastings lags far behind with its dated and money grabbing ways. Will not be using them again!
