White Cliffs Holiday Hostel

Horrific night turned up to hostel booked through air bnb pre paid, on arrival were told by seemingly nice staff that they were confused by our booking as we were booked in for 3 people but had only paid the price for one person, on investigation we showed how this was air bnb and not our fault, (in the hostels contract with air bnb to sort it out not us) anyways staff put us on the phone with paul the boss who was very vile to my friend telling them to f**k off etc, and other generally appaling language even after spending money in his hostel in the bar while trying to casually resolve the issue, the staff wgo were on our side and trying to help then jumped on theyre bosses side as soon as he talked to one of them on the phone(i think they were scared of him) being the decent people we are we picked up pur bags and walked out the hostel into the cold wet december night, being so late we couldnt find another place to stay and ended up sleeping in the freezing cold in the back of my van.... First time sraying in dover and the last...

Brilliant place very hipster nice vibe the midly grumpy Italian Chef cooks a mean lasagne too. You can actually see the ferry port so perfect for an early crossing. The hostel is in a lovely old building, recently refurbished, nestled in at the bottom of the famous white cliffs of Dover. Rooms good hot showers bar cheap prices What's not to like Paul the owner is a really nice chap very helpful and knowledgeable about the area
