The course was in appalling condition. In fairness, there has been a lot of rain in recent weeks, resulting in many courses (including Lingfield) being closed. However, the course has now been open again for more than a week and there is no mention of the condition on the website. It was virtually unplayable at many points throughout the round. They either need to close again until they can get the course in reasonable shape or drastically lower the price and put warnings on their website and let people know if they call to book. I went to complain after the round but the proshop was closed... I will not be returning to this course for the forseeable future, certainly until there has been a sustained period of warm weather.

Completly flooded and destroyed, they shouldn't let people play. Worst experience I ever had. Got a package with hotel and 2 rounds but not even playing the 2nd as it is just unplayable. Ridiculous

Hands down, probably the worst course that I have ever played at. Its a shame that the complex and racecourse around it looks really good and you think you are about to play a decent course, until you step on the first tee. To start off, the fairways are nonexistent as they are same length as the roughs. There is no drainage around the course resulting in big flooded patches across it. Even the driving range has a massive flooded part (which I originally thought was a pond) in the middle of it. Bunkers are full of rocks and have probably never been raked, and greens are beyond repairable. They were incredibly spongy and wet and covered in diseased grass. On one particular hole there was barely any grass on the green, majority was brown mud patches, so putting was out of the question. Im not sure there is any green keepers at all working for this course. FOR REFERENCE, I played here for the first time on 26/12/22 and once again a few days ago (16/3/23) and the conditions of the course have not changed one bit. Its maybe worse!! To top all of this off, we had booked and prepaid 4 ball which then turned to a 3 ball. the pro didnt refund us the fee for the 4 th ball so we burned out with 25, which for this particular course, is an absolute rip off. DONT PLAY GOLF HERE.
