We had written to Pollmans in Mombasa to book a safari (originally wanted to book flight, hotel and safari separately) then Marie from Native Escapes got in touch with us. At first the whole thing seemed a bit ominous, but after we emailed her, we had a great feeling. The whole holiday was perfectly organized and really breathtaking! The hotel was clean, beautiful and the food was delicious. The safari was also great, the car was in good condition and our driver could even speak German in addition to English (we had booked). Wir hatten Pollmans in Mombasa zum Buchen einer Safari angeschrieben (wollten ursprnglich Flug, Hotel und Safari getrennt buchen), dann hatte sich Marie von Native Escapes bei uns gemeldet. Erst kam uns das Ganze ein wenig omins vor, nachdem wir mit ihr per E-Mail geschrieben haben hatten wir aber ein super Gefhl. Der ganze Urlaub war perfekt organisiert und wirklich atemberaubend! Das Hotel war sauber, schn und das Essen war lecker. Die Safari war auch top, das Auto war gut in Schuss und unser Fahrer konnte neben Englisch (hatten wir gebucht) sogar Deutsch sprechen.

We've used Native Escapes for three holidays in Africa now and wouldn't go anywhere else. There are two reasons for this - the first is their expertise. They really, really know the lodges and locations they send you to. I used a well-known boutique travel agency for a trip to Costa Rica and they just didn't deliver the same personal service - I got the feeling I was being channelled into one of the accommodation choices they always used and that the crafted expertise was not as deep as I wanted. With Simon and Sharon, I know that they can chat you through why they are suggesting a particular lodge, why they think it's right for the kind of experience you're envisaging. And then - and then - we pressed go on a trip to South Africa and the travel rules changed in the middle of it due to Covid. I dread to think how awful the whole return would have been, as flights were cancelled, systems crashed, different governments suddenly demanded different tests, if it hadn't been for Simon. He stayed up half the night to try to find us returns, he whatsapped as things altered, he was a phone call away day or night. This is why I would never travel out of Europe without a first class agent and Native Escapes are first class. We saw grown men crying and grown men having punch ups in those few days. There were hideous queues at airports, which we simply avoided thanks to the measures he'd put in place. Can't thank him enough, and neither can we recommend them more highly.

I wanted to write and thank you and your team - it was.....brilliant! We had the most wonderful time - we stayed in some excellent places, saw everything and enjoyed some really unique experiences. Everything went smoothly, from the moment we were met at Jo'burg to when we deposited back at Victoria Falls airport. Without your help and input we definitely wouldn't have had such a special time. Your suggestions for the itinerary, the flight arrangements and the comprehensive paperwork were spot on. Your and your team's patience and good humour in the face of my numerous questions was also very much appreciated. You are a definitely a travel agent guru and we have already passed on your contact details, telling people they would be mad to go to anyone else. Thank you again so very much for making our holiday of a lifetime a holiday of a lifetime!
