Great fun for boy's party playing lazertag in Velocity's site. Well chaperoned by Rory who made it a great experience. I can tell Velocity are refurbing the site, it looks good. I would recommend.

I came with a group a couple of times. There is no warning that you have to pay for paintballs once you arrive in addition to the cost of the game that you paid in advance. The game sites haven't changed in a few years and some of the staff are good but some a bit grumpy and overall it felt poorly organised. There were not enough body protectors for the whole group and many of the overalls had huge rips in so that paint got on your clothes. A lot of the guns misfire or stopped working mid game.

Visited on a rainy day, this wasn't a problem as it added to the adventure. The venue is located down a bumpy track but easily manageable in most cars, lowered sports cars though might struggle. There are portaloos, shelter and a cabin to buy drinks snacks and extras. Gloves will set you back 8 and well recommend. You are given fresh overalls (with neck protection), body pads and face/head protection. All very good! I strongly recommend shoes with good grip as it can get slippy, trainers will not cut it as I found after slipping and hurting my ankle only a third of the way into the event. I couldn't carry on which was a shame. Cans of Pepsi will set you back 1.20, snickers etc 1. Tea and coffee is also available with UHT milk. The team are very good indeed, helpful and safety conscious. After my accident they checked up on me several times while I was waiting which shows good training and genuine care for visitors. Apparently, the most common injuries are ankle and knees, you have been warned Will definitely give it a go agsin in the future, maybe in the summer though when the ground is less difficult
