Lawn and Leisure UK

I purchased an item as a birthday gift (eBay Item: 362495581204). I paid extra for next day delivery. I was notified that the item was dispatched (promptly) over a week ago, it has still not arrived, both disappointing and embarrassing! Lawn and Leisure have not responded to any of my polite correspondence, nor have they issued a refund or provided a tracking number. Looks like they have some nice products but the customer service is dreadful. I would much rather buy from UK businesses but looks like this will be another win for China! Mistakes can happen, I'm not unreasonable but at least have the decency to respond so that the issue can be resolved. At best my experience could be considered poor customer service, at worst it could be described as theft - did this item ever exist and was it posted? I am now seeking a refund via PayPal/eBay. So far eBay have received no response. I would advise others to avoid this retailer. I should have read their feedback so a lesson learned there. Luckily this was a relatively low cost item (20 plus 7 postage) and not the 900 trampoline I had also enquired about. I don't usually leave google reviews but the 2 five star reviews that they do have are misleading to potential customers, especially as at least one is, I believe, a self review - a review by a company registered to the same address - Autoculture. This 'reviewer' operating out of the same premises also seems to have similar issues according to their feedback on google. I hope this review is helpful in assisting others with their purchasing decisions and helps L&L improve their service.
