Mark Shepherd Acupuncture

When I contacted Mark I had every faith that acupuncture could help me, but I am still completely awestruck at just just how much difference it is making so quickly. I needed help to manage increasing pain in both hips and lower back (which I subsequently discovered is due to early joint deterioration). After a series of 7 treatments I can move freely again and many pain symptoms have disappeared. We are continuing to work on the pain that I still have on one side but I am delighted to be almost back to normal. I have more energy ... and, an unexpected bonus ... I seem to be able to cope well with hot weather which always used to dramatically drain my energy. I am so happy that I gave myself permission to invest in acupuncture with Mark. He creates a very safe, gentle space and ensures that I understand what he is doing and why. He uses simple clear language to explain what is an ancient and complex system of healing. I don't feel most of the needles being inserted, should one hurt Mark asks me to describe what I'm feeling and adjusts it accordingly. I have no doubt that I am in safe, experienced, highly knowledgeable hands.

Mark is an amazing acupuncturist; I have been to him many times with different symptoms and have always been helped by his treatments. I went to him recently suffering from Sciatica and after just one treatment, the symptoms began to ease and by the second treatment, I was back to playing tennis. His treatment rooms are really relaxing, exceptionally clean and hygienic. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking to have acupuncture.

I have recently visited Mark and received acupuncture to support with ongoing headaches, shoulder and neck pain. Mark was brilliant and made me feel at ease. He took the time to truly understand the possible root causes and offered a wealth of advice. After two treatments of acupuncture I can feel such a positive difference to an issue I have been trying to manage for nearly 20 years. I decided to try acupuncture when I trapped a nerve in my neck and was in excruciating pain. I had been suffering with back and neck pain on and off for a couple of years due to herniated discs. I honestly couldn't believe that after my first session with Mark I felt some relief from the pain. I was a lot more relaxed and finally felt there was some light at the end of the tunnel. Over a period of a few weeks I had regular sessions with Mark and I am now pain free! I still see Mark regularly for any niggles that flare up and now also for my digestion and anxiety. Mark is extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient. He treats the whole person not just the symptom and always takes the time to explain things. Mark is clearly passionate about what he does and I would highly recommend him.
