11 of us enjoyed afternoon tea in the cafe within Rokeby Gardens, which is open to the public. We all agreed that it was exceptional in every way. We do not know how Roz the manageress could provide such good quality food and so varied for such a reasonable price. It was truly remarkable. Homemade mince pies and quiche. A choice of four sandwich fillings. Sausage rolls, pork pie, scone jam and cream, Christmas cake, fresh tea and after tea chocolates. Wonderful.

My beloved godmother lives here and, outside of being taken care of in her own home, this is the next best thing. First off the staff, without exception, are amazing. So kind, without treating people as if they are minor annoyances to be tolerated, but with dignity and humour. Secondly, the place is modern, fresh and clean. This is the model upon which ALL elderly care should be based. I only hope that when the time comes there is a place like this for me!
