We have now had our solar panels and battery installed for just over a week and everything is working perfectly; despite the gloomy weather our set-up is already exceeding the predictions which we are delighted by. I did my research of a company to use some time ago and ended up with 7 estimates and many from charlatans and chancers - one quoted me double Effective Homes quote. Communication was excellent throughout, it was always easy getting through and people were friendly and knew what they were talking about - in the end they won my trust and I plumped for them. Then the wait for the various permissions and before I knew it the scaffolding was up and down within a week. Lee the electrician and Ed were excellent, they were friendly, funny hard working and clearly knew what they were doing, one or two hitches were overcome without drama - clearly everything was planned excellently by Georgia. The rubbish was collected within 24 hours and we were generating electricity immediately> We coudl not be happier, it was an excellent experience, a great price, we have quickly learned how it all works and Lee has responded to a couple of emails querying the technology within 24 hours. I would recommend them 100% without any qualms - I was worried before but needn't have been they completely surpassed my expectations. Thank you.

I had Effective Home install a Solar system at my house last November (2022) and they installed a Sunsynk inverter and battery. During the first installation the engineers did not install a battery isolator switch between the inverter and the battery as per manufacturer's and code requirements, so I had to call them and get them to send someone to install them after the initial installation. Then during the December 2022 cold snap, the battery developed a fault where it would not hold any charge and the reported SOC (state of charge) would have big jumps of its readings in a short amount of time. The battery got progressively worse over time until it shut itself down and would not turn on at all. I got in touch with my plant manager from Effective Home and had to chase him for weeks to have a look or send someone to diagnose the problem, but he did not. The only thing he did after weeks of chasing is that he opened a case with Sunsynk about it and he only did that after I asked him to. Sunsynk were just as unhelpful as Effective Home and I have been chasing them for weeks for a site visit or to at least look at the battery remotely, which they have not done yet, so I am effectively without a battery for full 3 months now without a resolution in sight. I would not recommend using Effective Home for anything and I would not use Sunsynk again if I end up looking for a solar system again. Stay away from both companies if you have a choice!

Solar PV fitted. We used Effective Homes for a solar installation, really pleased with the installation that happened this week. Had communication from them that works would commence w/c 28th Feb.a little bit more communication would have been good to fulfil a great customer journey, however the scaffolders arrived on Monday they were efficient and polite. Thursday installers arrived as planned..a very patient electrician happily answered the many questions I fired at him throughout the install (so I could learn) all works carried out in one day without problems. A couple of roof tiles broken, which were replaced as installation took placenot an issue! System is up and running, amazed with iteasy to track on the app. Producing plenty of electric for early March. Should have done this years ago. Really happy with the service we have received. Well done.one happy household producing our own energy.
