Formula One Autocentres - Doncaster

Went for a puncture repair and free wheel alignment check. Puncture repair fine, however they did seem perplexed when I wanted to see the cause of the puncture. Free wheel alignment check was next. They raised my car in the air and started working underneath before even telling me the outcome of the wheel alignment check. Raised my suspicions immediately. So I asked them to see the results, he said its pointing too far out to the right. So I said ok go ahead with it. All done. Get in my car, start driving down the road and I have to keep the steering wheel at practically 90* angle to the right to keep the car straight. So the wheels were now pointing to the left. Now Im not mechanic, but he said they was out to the right, fixed it and now its out to the left well that to me says there was nothing wrong with the alignment in the first instance! Took it straight back, and he fixed it again. Was better than the previous but still slightly to the left. I went straight back AGAIN. I told them I want a refund for the alignment and told them Ill be taking it elsewhere. Got my refund of 47.94 and left. I strongly disbelieve them of my need for alignment. Ive used this place numerous times for tyres and never had a problem. But there always seem to be a new set of staff when I go. But the usual loud and rowdy mechanics shouting, anything but professional.

Booked in via BlackCircles which went fine and the tyres were fitted fine so happy with the work carried out. However, the manager was very rude just for the point of being rude. Serious attitude problem. Mind boggling. Dont usually leave negative reviews but he seemed to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder for whatever reason.

Stay away from these guys, failed mot for a number plate light bulb and a passenger side track rod end. They wanted over 200 to fix it! And been advised that they will not retest it if it was fixed elsewhere. Track rod was a 15 part which was purchased by them from gsf carparts and the bulb lets say 2. The tracking I am 100% sure they just counted the treads of the rod and called it an alignment. They just took advantage of me as it was the last day of mot and I needed tha van the following day. The moral of the story people , dont leave your mot for the last moment and try and stay away from these guys .
