I contacted Macrist about a core drill I purchased about 3 years ago, as per usual builder I never filled in the guarantee form when I received the item. After about 5 or 6 uses the drill started playing up and I put it in lock up and forgot about it until I needed it again so I like I said I contacted Macrist to send and pay for the repair myself which was what I was happy to do. So I was surprised when I received a call from Macrist engineer asking what the problem was, I explained and told him how many times I used the drill and was wasnt asking for a free repair as the guarantee was well expired. Well within the hour I received a call back from same guy a guy explaining that they where replacing the motor and other bits when I enquired how much this was going to cost me his answer nothing he said it was faulty when it left the factory. Macrist you have reinstated my faith in British Manufacturing thank you
