We have eaten at the Olive on a number of occasions since moving to Barnby Dun in Sept22. We have eaten as a couple and eaten there with friends. We have never been disappointed. Sunday lunch is excellent with quality meat and veg. As a chef for over 30 years Im a pretty good judge and I would say the Yorkshire puddings are in the top 3 ( after my own!) The steaks, which are served on hot rocks so you can let them cook to your liking are equally good and the range is impressive! Even the pizzas, which I dont normally eat are brilliant. The drinks are on the little expensive side, but thats a sign of the times. Why ruin a good meal with a cheap beer???? Staff and service are always good. If youve not already been there and tried it yourself I would highly recommend you do. Parking: Large car park which is always a bonus!
