I had a very lovely and restful three day stay at The Studio in August. Shirley and her husband are friendly and helpful, but also non-intrusive-you have your own key to the house and can come and go as you please. The studio is comfortable and has all you want - a modern bathroom with a good shower (and bath), a kitchen should you want to cook for yourself (I didnt but the fridge came in handy) and an absolute dream of a bed which was very difficult to get out of in the morning! Shirley brought breakfast each day at a time of my choosing and left it outside - so you can collect it in your pjs should you wish. I think I broke Shirleys heart a little as I dont really eat breakfast and so only asked for juice and yoghurt - instead of the fresh eggs, cake, homemade bread and fresh fruit that she generously provides. When the weather was fine, I sat in the garden - with the dogs for company. The village has some gorgeous Tudor and Georgian houses and a mediaeval church. It also has a great pub, The White Horse Inn, which does (reasonably priced) tasty, home made food and has friendly and welcoming staff - it also has a small shop where you can buy food to take home. The countryside around the village is sensational and there are lots of other pretty villages to explore - and Brighton is only about 8 miles away. I have nothing negative to say about the studio - I had a lovely time there and hope to return sometime soon. I throughly recommend it.

This very comfortable one bedroom apartment is part of a collection of rooms in the Jointure Studios which we used by the 20th century artist Frank Brangwyn. The Jointure House itself formed part of the divorce settlement between Henry VIII and Anne of Cleves. The apartment is accessed through the studio but is completely secure and self-contained. Breakfast is delivered to the door, includes fruit, bread, cake and eggs which can be cooked using the excellent kitchen facilities in the apartment. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
