Diss Ironworks Ltd

Recently ordered some ovengloves which ended up being delivered to the wrong house and then when I rang up to let them know, they weren't able to send me a new pair as they were out of stock. I asked a refund then as they were for a birthday present which had then passed, however they said they had to investigate with DPD first and would let me know - they then proceeded to not keep me updated and ignored my follow up email in which I asked for an update and a refund. Then had to send another follow up as a complaint and requested the refund and compensation, to which they gave a refund but no compensation. Long story short, I ended up without the product and only got my money back after 6 weeks with no compensation which I don't think is very good, hence this review. I'm sure the oven gloves would have been fine, as they looked nice on the website

The only con is that delivery takes about 10 days, I ordered on the 8th and it arrived on the 17th. Apart from the above, I love this site, Ive made 2 separate orders so far and I will be ordering again. I like their selection/range and prices. :) Customer service respond quickly too :)

It's not often you receive such a personal, and high level of service. Amy and the team were so diligent and caring. Despite uncontrollable circumstances with a delivery issue, they went out of their way to keep me updates regularly with calls and emails, which was hugely appreciated. They also went to extra special effort to wrap a late present, to help me and make my husband's birthday really special. Thank you. Your communication made all the difference. Oh - and the present was great!

Terrible customer service. I purchased a Le Creuset kettle 6 months ago which has since become faulty, the inside enamel has started to come away leaving black bits in the water. I contacted Diss iron works numerous times, just to keep being told I needed to contact the manufacturer. From the very beginning diss iron works failed to grasp that my issue was not that the warranty was with Le Creuset, but they as the retailer have a contractual agreement with me as the customer under the sale of goods act. So it is for them to make good of the situation and not myself. If that means collecting the item and returning to the manufacturer, again that Is for diss iron works to do and not myself. Not once did they help in any way at all other than fobbing me in the direction of the manufacturer. It was only after I sent them a recorded delivery letter template given to myself by trading standards. They managed to contact the manufacturer and get a response and then email me all within a matter of about five hours. Had this been done nearly 2 weeks ago. When I first initially contacted Diss Ironworks we would be in a totally different situation and I would not be leaving a one star review. PLEASE DO NOT DELETE MY GENUINE CUSTOMER REVIEW AS YOU HAVE DONE WITH THE ONE FROM 2 DAYS AGO AS I WILL JUST KEEP POSTING IT.
