Why doesn't the Co op do something about the attitude of the Post Office Staff. They are so rude and they know that nothing will be said to them. Why does the Co op allow is behaviour toward customer.

Frequently closes early - why advertise closing at 17.30 on weekdays at 1pm on Saturdays if you can't be bothered to accept new customers after 17.10 or 12.45?

I am writing to lodge a serious complaint about discrimination, abuse of power, and verbal intimidation by a member of the local Post Office in Didcot, Georgetown Post Office, Wantage Road 52-60. This is not the first time that this member, a woman aged between 30-40, tall with long hair, etc. (she did not want to give her name when asked) has displayed such behaviour towards me. I arrived at the branch at around 12:30 on a Saturday, and the clerk informed me that the woman behind me would be the last one to be attended. I would like to clarify the rules here - if the post office is open between 9 am - 1 pm, shouldn't all customers who arrive during those hours be attended to? If there are too many customers, perhaps there should be more than one employee present to serve the public during those hours. I waited patiently in the queue, and when it was my turn, I started the service. However, I was asked to fill in some paperwork on the side, and the clerk served two customers who arrived after the time she said she would not serve anymore. I did not mind and said she could serve them before me, as I was not in a hurry. The woman serving me was very friendly, and I even thanked her for her attention. However, when she was ready to serve me again, it was nearly 1 pm. She was unsure about the process to send the parcel and said she did not like to do those types of parcels. I did my best to help her, even spelling out the names and addresses written on the envelope. During this process, the woman who I am complaining about arrived. She was not at the office at all, and I am not sure if she was working or just visiting. She immediately came in with an attitude, shouting at the lady from far away, "ARE YOU OK? I AM COMING THERE." She took over and started doing the work instead of the lovely lady who was serving me. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong information about the price, and I was asked if I wanted track service, which would cost around 5 pounds. I agreed, but after the clerk saw that the letters were to be sent abroad, the price changed to around 28 pounds. I found this to be too expensive and requested a cheaper option. I was informed it would be a few pounds cheaper, and I said, that I understood, but was my decision on how much I could be able to pay. The woman became rude and insisted that I pay first and then she would see what would be cheaper for future reference. I refused, saying that I needed to know the exact amount before I paid. The woman then accused me of being rude to her friend and pushed my parcels back to me, closed the binders and left me standing there. I asked for her name, but she refused to give it. She then came out, opened the door and told me to leave, claiming that I had been rude to her friend. This behaviour is unacceptable on several levels. First, she cannot talk in the name of other people. She was the one who brought the tension to the situation. Second, she cannot intimidate me by opening the door, coming out, and telling me to leave. Third, this same person has been rude to me on several occasions in the past, but I did not complain. Today was enough. I felt intimidated, disrespected, and abused. I believe she did this because I am a foreigner, and she feels she has the right to treat me this way. I left the post office with my parcels in my hand, feeling like a criminal without any explanation. I was verbally abused by a member of the team. This ruined my day, and I felt sick afterwards. I am also filing a complaint with the local police. I will not accept this kind of treatment any longer. Best regards AG
