        Staff have always been friendly to me when I go there, and have helped me find/look for things. They didn't have any safety pins, which seems strange for an arts and crafts shop, but otherwise the stock it very good. They do stock a lot of cheap things, but they have decent quality art supplies too, like Faber and castle.

        Honestly the rudest The Works staff I've ever come across. I usually go to the branch in Oxford where the people are lovely, but I dared to visit the Didcot shop on occasion. Never again. Craft stores are supposed to be friendly and welcoming but both my visits here left me feeling embarrassed and/or offended by the staff's behavior. Particularly the store manager Louise, who I witnessed arguing with other people too, so I can only assume it's a regular occurrence. Go to the one in Oxford or Newbury instead.
