Our property purchase with Thomas Merrifield, Didcot, went as smoothly and as hassle free as such procedures get. Joe Lyddon was our go-to person who dealt with everything in a polite and capable manner. That can be recommended.

My experience with Thomas Merrifield has been nothing but positive. Every member of staff I dealt with was courteous and responsive. A massive thank you to the sales team, particularly George Mayes, who helped us navigate the process as first time buyers when it wasnt always easy. George always had great communication with us and is a real asset to the company.

We are buyers in Didcot and new to the area, so we have had experience of a number of Estate agents and the way they handle pricing, marketing and viewings. Although we have not had a bad experience with any local estate agents I felt drawn to give this review and would say the experience in this first stage with Thomas Merrifield has been the best, and would probably convince us to list with them if down the line we wanted to sell. The quality of their photos and staging is exceptional so you really see the property's 'bones' clearly. On viewings they are particularly knowledgeable honest and transparent about the potential good points and flaws of any property, and have good advice about how a buyer could work with these while also listening to us and our requirements. Other viewings we have had with different agents there has been quite a lot of 'estate agent' speak which can be tiring and not helpful - trying to persuade us that a flaw can actually be seen as a positive. Some other agents also took us to viewings having no foundational information about the house- just there to open the door, basically. We found the Thomas Merrifield agents who showed us property had detailed information about the house and the vendors which saved time and energy trying to follow up later. Lastly and importantly their pricing seems spot on and they are quick to react to the market so are not sitting with overpriced property on their books while still looking for a fair price. This is all great from a buyer's perspective but I think would also be very helpful if selling with them as they will not sugar-coat comments and will give you honest and forthright advice about how to best market your property.
