We had carpet delivered and paid for fitting. The fitters were beyond atrocious, not only was the door left off the room, but, the door bar was not installed either. We removed the carpet and underlay before fitters came and left the room completely empty but left the original grippers down - this, apparently is in the fine print and is part of the removal service - this was not explained to us on the day. The old grippers were then reused, even though we paid for new ones to be installed. Fitters did not say anything about reusing, I found out for myself by taking our new carpet up. Carpetright have offered a refund for grippers, but, I have to go into store for a refund even though the order was placed online. The fitters have made us out to be liars and for me, that is the worst part. Conversations that had apparently happened on the day didnt - accept some responsibility!! I feel like Ive been taken for a ride - there are a lot of hidden costs with getting anything from this company - I cant imagine the problems we wouldve had getting our whole house re-carpeted, let alone just the one room. I will not be using Carpetright again, an independent fitter would be both cheaper and do a better job. Extremely upset with the dishonesty. Update: since leaving a review - I emailed customer services, (as requested below) they contacted the branch and proceeded STILL not to take my side into consideration. Although it looks like they are concerned, they only clearly care about looking the part.
