I've been here twice now, enticed by the photos and events advertised on social media. I really want to like it but unfortunately I'm always really disappointed by the food... At 10am there were only a couple of slices of cake left and the one I ordered was dry. The hot chocolate was cheap and watery (not rich and velvety) and it came in such a large heavy glass mug I couldn't lift it, and it didn't fit the saucer. We came to paint pottery which was lots of fun. The young staff member on the till wasn't helpful and kept telling us to read instructions from a paper plate, which was in tiny handwriting and you couldn't get close to due to the play area. Other customers struggled with this too but we all helped each other and there was a nice community feel. The play area for children is great and selection of items is well thought out, but it's location is quite chaotic being by the till and children kept running into me and I couldn't hear the staff member whilst I tried to order! Otherwise a good selection of toys to amuse children from ages 0-6. I really hope they replace their sofas soon, they are very uncomfortable, but I love that they have a few different options for seating - low coffee tables, high tables, longer tables for bigger groups. And the new wallpaper refurb looks great. Can tell a lot of love and care goes into the caf, just a few more finishing touches could make it a better quality experience.
