Very confusing it says the bank is open.

Not open at weekends, and you can't pay in using the machine outside. Staff are good though.

Blonde woman behind the counter on a power trip. Wouldn't let me pay into my account when my card would not work in the reader, I had no physical ID on me, apart from the banking app and copies of my passport, driving license and bills on my phone. She told me very smuggly that it was a government's decision in Novemver 2019 to decline any payments into accounts without physical ID. I told her I would pay into my lloyds account and she told me they would not accept it either unless I am personally known to the bank. She was wrong I was able to pay into my lloyds account without any issues, the Manager looked puzzled when I told him what Halifax said. In future I will be using lloyds for all of my banking needs. The staff are always polite and welcoming.

So it's open 10 am until 2 pm Mon - Fri NOT helpful when I work 7.30 - 3.30 PM!

Have just had absolutely phenomenal customer service from Lisa at the Halifax Didcot branch. She worked through her lunch break to resolve a complicated query for me for which I'm very grateful. I would 100% recommend banking with Halifax at this branch.
