Sectional Door - Poor quality after only 10 months. BE AWARE! We have a really nice black sectional door that's been fitted approx. 10 months. We noticed chips appearing visible from the front and excessive wear down each side with the rub strips. The chips are right through and white coloured so visible against the black and after 10 months unexpected - we have a very clean, new house - the internal garage floor is even floored like and internal room so very clean and use is regular domestic. Alutec who supplied the door (now Alunet) sent an engineer who deemed this was "normal wear" and likely down to "dust and grit" - An incredible claim! The quality of the door coating is clearly not man enough for even light/regular domestic use. We have multiple commercial units with Hormann Doors dating back to 2005 and used heavily with no such issues.

BF73 design issue - I've tried contacting Alutech on several occasions re this issue with no luck. As you can see the frame has no strike plate so the frame takes the brunt of the latch when the door is closing. This is now starting to mark the paint after less than 2 months from installation. Strike plates have been on door frames to protect them from the door latches for some time. I have no idea why the BF73 doesn't have a strike plate to protect the frame? Update. As I've said I've called and was told i would get a call back but never did and I have emailed with no response - can I have a name to speak to please? I would like to add another issue that people need to know. The individual handles that open the door sections rub on the frame of the door its folded up to, see the spot on the handle, that has marked the pained frame. As a measure to protect the frame I've stuck on some clear film that you might just be to see in the other picture.

Great product and a great service from Alutech. We have recently completed a school using the F50 curtain walling project and are currently on site on two other projects using the W62 system which I would highly recommend.
