Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. To busy having a conversation to notice customers, let alone help them out. I will always shop local if I can but won't be going there again.

Loved it here! Lovely, friendly lady who didnt mind me browsing and was very helpful. I didnt spend much (got a bargain book and a postcard) but was treated as well as anyone. Highly recommended to support local business. Thank you!

They ask you to put single use plastic gloves on when you enter. Which seems to me, completely out of touch and a huge waste. Terrible.

Wasn't able to enter as we didn't want to put on gloves. Why on earth do you need gloves? Bizarre gate at the front of the shop, totally unwelcoming.

Absolutely bizarre experience. Wanted to buy some childrens books and support an independent book shop but found that you have to wait behind a gate to be interrogated before entry and then they demand that you wear non biodegradable toxic plastic gloves. Disgusting waste of resources and totally overbearing totalitarian authoritarianism. Felt like Id been transported into some kind of 1984 style greater good alternate reality. Thankfully I wasnt with my children as I would have been horrified they would have been exposed to this kind of unhealthy indoctrination. I just wanted to buy a book. An unpleasant experience at best.
