These places are for people over 60. You must be able to look after yourself, cook, clean and shop for yourself. You can have a carer come in to help. There is a set price for the electric and rent. There are communal washing machines and a tumble dryer, not sure how much to use. There is a community hall for coffee morning and bingo evening. There is always a Christmas meal get together, no charge. A warden comes round every day to check you are ok.

I live adjoining the almshouses and they and their tenants are very well looked after. No complaints by anyone!

Social housing for retirement living. Has its own large gathering hall offering entertainment to the community at large. Comfortable atmosphere.
