After a rollercoaster experience with Sonny, and now it being clear that the final work isnt going to be completed it seems its time to share our experience. Whilst things started of well, overall communication was poor and the project took longer due to this as mistakes had to be rectified. Sonny promised to be onsite for our project, however often wasnt present which unfortunately led to some poor work, or incorrect translation of the plans. Whilst Sonny did get these items fixed in the end it did sour the experience somewhat. We are now 2 months on from anyone last being on site and still have rubbish waiting to be taken away as agreed, several items of work still outstanding and our wheelbarrow which was accidentally packed away on tidying their tools has not been returned. After booking in to get the last items finalised 3 weeks ago weve been cancelled the morning of (not uncommon unfortunately) and have been told they will book us back in once they return from holiday. Its clear these last few items hold no interest so we will have to find someone else. My biggest regret was not holding more money back from final payment to incentivise them to actually return! Overall our garden is much nicer but the experience and communication has been poor and we dont have a finished project. If you dont mind an extended project then go with Sonny but he seems to overcommit himself so we would not recommend. Update: Having reached out after our initial review Sonny promised to book us in to come and finish the job, return our property and remove the waste left on our drive, that was in early August, to date we have heard nothing further from him and we now have to face the further cost of finalising the project with a new firm, removing the waste and purchasing a replacement wheelbarrow (50) ourselves after he has kept ours. Unacceptable. One star is generous.
