Crown & Cushion

We have had several visits to the Crown and Cushion Welburn York, and the food has always been exceptional, the staff are friendly and always willing to help where necessary. We have taken friends who have really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Our number one place to go for Sunday roast, and lunch through the week.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago, booked in advance , but because I had booked twice in error, no reservation had been made. We were seated in the public bar which is battered and not very clean, when there was plenty of room in the restaurant. The food was OK We ate here because we use the Carpenters Arms Felixkirk which is part of the same group and is excellent

Ive been to The Crown and Cushion quite a few time. I met three friends there this lunch time. Waited ages to be served my Fish and Chips which I had been fancying for weeks. The fish was not cooked properly,the white was tasteless and unpleasant, the chips were extremely boney. Cost 23 for this and a large Lime and Lemonade, Very disappointed!,

Nuce friendly people . Lovely food . Lovely service. Beer nice . Recommend the ploughman's.
