Birdsall House

Birdsall House has and will always hold a special place in our hearts. As a family, weve celebrated two weddings, a birthday and generally been welcomed with open arms on a regular basis for a catch up and lovely cup of coffee!! Three years ago my sister planned her wedding here which was perfect. So when it was my turn to get married I wanted it to be just as wonderful - the venue and team didnt disappoint! Cara, Becky and Steph were brilliant throughout the whole process. On the day of the wedding, we were greeted with a delicious breakfast spread in the Bridal suite. It made everyone feel more relaxed and excited that it helped set the tone for the day. It was such a magical occasion, everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. It was helped by the fact that the day was situated in a stunning location and everyone at Birdsall was so helpful, welcoming and engaging with our guests. Thank you Birdsall for a truly brilliant wedding day.

We just had the best wedding ever - and that's what the guests are saying. The Team at Birdsall House are so professional, kind, interesting and helpful. They anticipate everything - even the weather. The family have lived in the house since the 14th Century and have the most romantic back story. The house contains some of the best art and furniture in Europe. The grounds are amazing with trees and rhododendrons that are hundreds of years old - go for an early morning run followed by a skinny dip in a Georgian swimming pool full of crystal clear spring water and a frog. Their suppliers were all excellent and the band Motown Groove filled the dance floor with the sound check and kept it full all night. They also provided the Gospel Choir for the ceremony (very emotional) and some of us even got an impromptu rendition of Summertime on the veranda from the lead singer - she was amazing - as were they all. The Hog & Apple ran the kitchen and Louisianna's ran the bar. Both were inspirational to work with and on the night the staff's professionalism and quality was outstanding. The food was Michelin and the bar was fast and friendly - just what you need for the perfect party. The Bridal Party's accommodation is 5 Star. Put the Grooms family and the Stags in Langton Hall, a couple of miles away. Lots of local pubs nearby for a quick bite and drink the night before. Hold the survivors lunch the following day at the Talbot Hotel in Malton. All in all the best day of my life, and I have had a very good life. Easy, fun and beautiful - Thank you to all the Birdsall Team for making it such a perfect day xx
