Thank goodness for this store restoring the village community shop to Derry Hill and Studley. Well stocked, happy staff, sure a couple of opening teething problems but they are mostly ironed out. Im really happy the store is here to allow us to pick up out essentials when we were perhaps a bit forgetful to buy them at the supermarket. The post office is a god send compared to the complexity of going into Chippenham to post things. Well done and thanks for making the effort to revitalise the store for the community.

Just what a village shop needs to be: Household essentials, fresh fruit and veg, frozen foods, beer and wine, papers and magazines, sweets and chocolates and ice creams.

From the look of things this seems to be a well run and well liked local store. I hope my experience is the exception rather than the norm, however I have never felt less welcome in a shop. Popped in to get some bits before picking my daughter up from the local school and the woman behind the counter was more interested in talking to her friend about her plastering work than she was about serving me. She didnt even tell me the amount, say the card machine was ready. She couldnt even look at me while I paid, basically didnt interact with me at all, just carried on chatting to her friend and made me feel like an inconvenience. If she owns the place then I guess thats her prerogative, If she doesnt then maybe the owner should send her on a customer service course. Shame really.
