We have brought many cars from motorpoint in the past and been happy. We placed an order for two cars but decided to cancel due to poor customer service once we had placed the order. We have not received the refund of deposits as agreed and we are unable to contact anyone via email and phone. We are just left on hold and passed around and no reply to email. Very very poor and disappointing

I have had cars with Motorpoint before but my experience of purchasing a car at Derby this time has been absolutely appalling. The price I was quoted on the phone after visiting the shop previously was acceptable, but I then realised when going back to the branch that this now included less mileage, which wasnt communicated to me over the phone. The sales team were also very pushy and it took two hours to collect the car. I also wasnt given the option to test drive the car. The main issue however was the 250 deposit for not having the V5. I was told that my refund would be given immediately after returning it. No problem. I ordered and returned the V5 on Saturday morning. No refund as expected, I was told to fill some details in online to sell the car to trade and that would trigger the payment straight away. Again, no problem. Filled the details in, still no refund. The next day I spoke to several people and was told it would be processed as high priority, still nothing. I spoke to someone else who said the finance team would be back the next day. In the meantime I had a text from the sales advisor who told me I had to process it on My Motorpoint (not what I was told initially) - the text contained no details of how to do it. Next day, still no refund and Im still waiting. Speaking to online chat team, I have had to provide my details again but I am still waiting. Not sure if theres been a turnover of staff compared to previous times Ive used Motorpoint but the experience was awful, all they wanted was my money. Will be the last car I have with them.
