Nice gem of a lodge and bar/restaurant - service was excellent & dog friendly in bar area. Maisonette room was fresh, clean and modern with lots of room for manoeuvre. Could do with perhaps more comfortable sofas and a little art or decor on the walls - just to add that last finishing touch. Cooked Breakfast was perfect and a good selection of continental items if not paying for the cooked.

Food & drinks: Very impressed! Great service all round & excellent food. We had a perfect rump steak, an awesome beef burger and the best chicken and chorizo tagliatelle al arrabiata ever! Top marks to the kitchen that night as they were busy but the food came out in good time and it was so good. The bar service was great throughout, an added bonus was we walked in just as a barrel of Falstaff ale was pulling through - perfectly kept. It's been a long time since we've had the perfect dining night out, now we've just had it we won't chance anywhere else.
