Royal Derby Hospital : Kings Treatment Centre

Had finally gotten through to have a simple procedure done that's been effecting my confidence since my teens. However, the pre-op nurses gave bad advice and told me not to take my diabetes medication the day before my surgery When the time came to finally have surgery, I was told my sugar was too high. Well duh, I was told to not take medication. I had three members of staff crowd my bed, staring at me to tell me they won't operate. I was embarrassed beyond belief. Everyone in the room could hear, I had staff crowing me, all because I did what I was told. Safe to say, I left. And what takes the cake, they could have just given me insulin there and then to solve the problem, but made a huge deal out of it. Thanks for wasting so much of mine and your own time and destroying what was left of my self confidence

Very fast to see me and did detailed check up on my finger at hand unit Very impressed nothing was too much very caring Happy to be going back for a second check up next week
