Unfortunately my only instance of these workers are of incredibly rude, lazy and brutish personality. I witnessed them throw litter out of their parked car, metres from the bin while they were waiting for a colleague, thus had nothing better to be doing. When I mentioned it to them, they directed their disgust at me, insisting that I pick it up for them. Because I'm a woman? And that's what women do? Pick up after lazy men who think it's OK to make other people's life harder? After passing them once more to go back to my car, they shouted at me, again, that I needed to pick it up. When questioned on why they wouldn't just pick it up themselves, they said "it's not my job". I asked whether they thought it was fair that they increased someone else's work load and they insisted "it keeps them busy". Good working class solidarity there lads. Such disregard for the environment, the local area, and other human beings can only be a negative in my opinion, I'd avoid them totally. If they can't be bothered to find a bin, would you trust them tidying up after a job? If they insist that they only do what's in their exact job title, would you want them trusted to not cut corners with your project? When they immediately turn their anger on you when you ask them a fair question, would you feel comfortable discussing their work with them? Personally, no no no.

I put SMJ Brady's "no job too small" policy to the test after a careless delivery driver wiped out the last 2 sections of my fence on the driveway. The job was small but required care and precision as 2 concrete, metal reinforced posts had to be removed and replaced without damaging the (newly laid) tarmac driveway surrounding it. There was only inches of space to work with either side of the fence but Fran's team were able to break and extract the damaged posts and replace them without any damage to the driveway. The finish was to a high standard and the team tidied the site thoroughly before leaving. Highly recommended!

SMJ did a fantastic job to my Mums tarmac driveway and laying new slabs in her back garden. She is really happy with the finished product and often receives compliments about the smart presentation. Fran and his team turned the job around quickly and were always helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble.
