Ian Josh and Hollie were all fantastic and Id definitely use their services again - very professional and committed to helping our party run smoothly, and everyone loved the food. Thanks so much!

Dropped out of catering our wedding less than a month before the wedding- words cannot describe how disgraceful this company is. So where do I begin? We first established communication with RGCS in September 2020. Over a few months, we agreed in principle, canaps, a three course meal and a BBQ for our wedding. We were in conversation with Holly, who is in charge of talks and arrangements for the company. I cant stress enough how poorly this was handled, at points we had to wait weeks at a time between emails with us chasing on multiple occasions to try and move the process along. This whole situation was extremely stressful, badly managed and highly unprofessional. We gave them the benefit of the doubt (what with COVID) and stuck with them. What a mistake that was. In May, a few months before the wedding (September), RGCS went to view our venue. We were told by them that although the kitchen is small, if they were given extra space, everything could still go ahead as planned. We then arranged a tasting session of the menu, also held at the venue and were served what can only be described as extremely mediocre microwaved food, not even remotely resembling the 35+ pp it would have cost. Given time constraints we again gave them the benefit of the doubt, praying that it would be different on the day. At this time we made clear that we had bought a marquee and trestle tables, exclusively for them to use as space in addition to the kitchen, and we were once again reassured by the chef Ian that although the space was small, it was still achievable and they could do it. Then, out of the blue an email arrives less than 4 weeks before our wedding saying that they can no longer cater as requested. Something that at this point we had been arranging for close to a year. We had also already sent out our invites with the menu choices that had been agreed with this company to all of our guests. Confused and bewildered, as we had been reassured many times that they could cater our wedding, we promptly rang Holly as we were sure there must have been a mistake. What happened next can only be described as one of the most disgusting phone conversations Ive ever had in my life. We were given a number of poor excuses and blatant lies from what is clearly a cowboy operation under the guise of something more professional. We were told that our space was too small, they wouldnt make enough money, our slot could easily be replaced and that we wouldnt find anyone else that could offer us the options they had originally given us in the space provided, instead we should just have one of their cold buffets. There was no sincere apology given. This left us both in shock, my partner was distraught, what were we supposed to do with 3 weeks to go, especially having already sent out our invites with the previously agreed catering information on? It seemed to us that all along they knew they would do this but wanted to wait until the last minute to tell us so that we had no other options and had to pay for their cold buffet. After this, we sent out a plea asking for help and thankfully another caterer kindly stepped in. They did more work in 3 weeks than RGCS did in 12 months. They perfectly recreated the menu we had already picked, in the space provided, and it meant that we had the most incredible wedding day, but we were very lucky. It could have easily ended up with us having no catering at all or a highly mediocre one from RGCS. Even if RGCS are the last possible choice, still avoid them at all costs.
