Big On Bikes

10 years ago, I purchased a Specialized Crux Tricross Bike, and despite doing a couple of long rides such as the Tour of the Peak and a four day tour in Scotland, I had never been totally comfortable on the bike. The riding position was uncomfortable, the reach, angle of my back, and sitting position made cycling very uncomfortable, to the extent that I didn't really enjoy riding it and in the end no longer wanted to.... So, we decided to have a look at the option of a straight bar conversion. My husband (Pete) spent some time discussing brake/gear change options with his buddy, (who is a bike mechanic in Canada) and it sounded promising... We then decided to call in at Big on Bikes (who we had never used before) and met up with Simon. I told him what I wanted to achieve, he watched me ride round the car park and then suggested a solution and an estimated cost. After a few days, we collected the bike and took it for a spin. The difference was unbelievable, it rides like a different bike, the riding position is comfortable and a joy to ride. Thanks for talking time to listen to my needs and providing a perfect solution. Superb experience - I wanted to change the whole group set and Dave managed to recycle some of the components to keep the cost down Great work, really quick and the bike is running beautifully
