What a fantastic service. When our puppy chewed through our new fibre optic cable we expected major problems, instead we were met with a friendly, caring receptionist who was able to arrange a technical crew to come out the same day. The team who arrived, could not have been more helpful, not only repairing the cable but also fixing an unrelated issue. Would highly recommend Alncolm.

Ive had FTTP now for about 6-7 months. We went through the rural broadband scheme so the install was government funded, however i cant praise John Parker enough, honest, kept his word, delivered on what he said he could, kept us updated and as long as you appreciate that the infrastructure isnt going to happen overnight as its funded and needs a min amount of customers to make it viable, its worth the wait. Weve gone from unreliable, 10mb (on a good day) to 100mb super reliable fibre. Very happy, well done alncom

like other reviewers, helped them apply for funding(unwittingly-the bloke on the doorstep with the clipboard said it wasnt an obligation to us to have the more expensive service-later found out this was untrue when you apply for the voucher you ARE obliged to get their service if they get it to you within 12 months!!! not a good start to be hoodwinked), emails saying no you wont get broad band, then yes we're doing broadband, but still no broadband then we'll keep getting the vouchers from the government in your name- dont bother

Not sure why I bothered opting into government grant scheme to provide Alncom with 1500 of funding and then have them twice provide totally false installation timetables (March & June). Its now September, I could've procured, run, spliced and terminated the fibre myself by this point. Not to mention this is causing havoc with existing rolling contract for 4G to obtain workable bandwidth to carry out working from home at extra expense. Not amused.

I enquired about rural broadband for my caravan. I was told after ringing up a few times 'don't worry the head of sales will get back to you, he's just extremely busy.' Yet a month or so later I'm still waiting. Absolute garage and terrible customer service
