Lets start with the positives. Room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. Staff were all charming and helpful. Location good. Negatives. Really need to sort the catering. Breakfast, no scrambled eggs, coffee stewed, bacon either under or overdone. Not a croissant to be seen, probably too far north for them. Evening meals on two nights. Mixed grill, tiny steak, tiny chicken piece, sad tomato and half a dozen chips. Peppercorn sauce never arrived. The star of the show was the Game Pie. Dish of mashed potato and a sort of grey gravy at the bottom, not one piece of meat. Garnished with some nondescript greenery and about ten peas. A traveller would find better food for less money in any Wheatherspoons.

Wow, what a little find if your exploring what Alnwick as to offer, they kindley let's us park our motorhome up overnight, well 2 nights, we had a few drinks and a meal, well we shared 4 starters, like a meza, and every plate was absolutely beautiful, fresh and cooked with love. Thank you, we will be back for sure off to the castle now oh and dogs are very welcome even have treats Food & drinks: Absolutely beautiful come see for yourself x

Rooms: Very large beautiful decorated and very comfortable Food & drinks: Evening meals were very good but had difficulty keeping the breakfast food hot Noteworthy details: We would definitely use this inn again easy to get to the coast and take the train from Almouth to Newcastle for the day
