Nice enough C.L. Back to basics camping with no toilet or shower and no laundry / dishwashing facility. The pitches have nice hard standing surface. Pitch supplied with electric hook up which handled our kettle and microwave well. Friendly owner who helped us with local information. Nice and quiet but on weekdays you do get background noise from the A1. No railway noise. On Friday evening a local venue was banging out music but the other evenings we were here were quite. Wouldn't suggest this was a good site for young children as not much grass around the pitches . Camping area a little more compact than most C.L.'s. Nice and flat though and easy to get on / off. You may have to shunt a very large van a bit if all pitches taken. When emptying cassettes make sure you empty em into drain hole or you'll have fun rounding up your business with the hose. My family thought it a laugh as they weren't wrestling with it. You'll like the site and Alnwick is a nice town to see. Need to buy a 1 parking disc to get 3 hours free parking in disc zones.

Excellent CL, very close to A1 which is ideal and you would have to listen closely to hear the road! Hard standing with convenient disposal and fresh water. 18 is good value Owner gave lots of local information. We experienced a lovely bike ride along the cycle route to Alnmouth and a 20min walk into Alnwick centre. Regular supermarkets close by . Avoid Hogshead pub, poor food and very slow service. Would I return YES

We had the barn for 7 nights Linda the host was very lovely and offered ideas of places to visit during the stay. Our room was cleaned every day, there were tea and coffee and milk (in a mini fridge) a shower room and very comfortable bed. The area was very quiet considering we were literally 5 mins from the bypass. There were shops close by and a pub. Alnwick castle was an easy 30 minute walk away.
