In my opinion IHG does not care about their customers because they do not take calls at the Corp. Office, only an answering machine where two messages in detail were left and no one returned my call. All customer complaints go overseas and after 8 days, over 3 hours on the phone working my way to the top person nothing was resolved and never a call back as promised. I guess IHG saves money and estimates how many customers they will lose using overseas customer service. I have been with IHG for over 25 years and when the Corp. Office takes no calls or returns them, they can tell the shareholder that they are not aware of any problems. In my opinion leave IHG because when they started the points given for stays and purchases was new, and it was a good deal. Now everyone gives points especially Hilton and guess what they appreciate you as a loyal customer.

IHG is having trouble with customer service, especially for a company that is involved in the hospitality industry. I called the customer service line to give them feedback, and the person that answered hung up on me. I called back and they hung up again. I was calling to complain about the Chase Rewards Program. In the past few years, there are almost no hotels available through the program, even though there are minor differences in the price between the hotels that are available and those that aren't. The program is very unfriendly to families because you can't stay at any of their family hotels like Candlewood Suites even when the price is less than those that you can stay at. The Chase IHG rewards credit card is a scam and it brings a bad name to IHG as a company that used to be one that was known as family-friendly. I am canceling my card and using up my points and my family will not be using IHG Hotels again.

Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East - Claim Ignored by IHG Group. My worst ever stay in a Holiday Inn. On a professional visit to Toronto made a 3 night stay in this Hotel. First impression not brilliant, dated, not well clean... On the second night a large group of young gangsters arrived, and they party hard until 5 or 6 AM, despite several calls to reception, none was answered, so I dressed up on four occasions to come down to the reception to complain... useless and rude night team, nothing was done, a security guy was called, but was wondering on the corridor laughing, the customers left empty bottles of tequila, beer, vodka... on the corridor floors, tissues with blood, empty packs of crisp, half eaten food... around 3 AM they smoked on corridors, further visit to the reception and again nothing done. Tried to go and do some time in the Gim but the useless team did not open the door... due to Covid Cleaning reasons (???) What a Joke!!! On my check out claimed a refund of one night but ZERO! Raised a claim with IHG Group and also IGNORED!!! IHG GROUP simply to Avoid in Future!!!
