Very pleased with our gorgeous new bathroom. Started and finished on the promised dates and all work carried out professionally and meticulously by John, Phil, Lee & Jordan. A special mention for John & Phil who carried out the bulk of the work, its great to know tradesman still exist who take a pride in their work and sensitive to the fact they are in someones home. Planning was easy and painless. Whilst we had an idea of what we wanted, we were happy to be guided in terms of what was feasible. This was a big operation with everything stripped out back to bare walls etc, but came in on time and on budget. Quite a feat! We would have no hesitation in recommending Denby Dale Kitchens & Bathrooms to any prospective client.

A BIG THUMBS DOWN! (Rude and arrogant staff.) I called the Denby Kitchen Company (today, 9 Aug 2022) because they were listed as retailers of Blanco products, and I wanted to buy a sink and tap ASAP. As ever I used my mobile, and as ever I asked who I was speaking to because I take notes of every call I make and like to be able to speak to the same person if I follow up on a cold call. Its called being courteous and professional. Now, my hearing is perfect but mobile reception in this hilly part of the UK isnt, so the DKC representatives muffled reply to my very polite question sounded like Glen. So I asked him again, also very politely, and his reply then sounded like Jlin, so I told him the line was pretty bad and asked him to spell his name. At this he became immdiately curt bordering on angry, and said, What? What are you calling about? So I asked him, Could you give me your name, please its a polite enough question Im after a particular sink, etc. To which he said something indecipherable but which sounded like, Well, Im just curious it were more bother than what it were that you just tell me what you wanted. Its Glyn G, L, Y, N! (the spelling was almost shouted and delivered as though talking to a child). At which I told him, Thank you, Glyn, and I wont bother you any more, you rude person. The point of recounting this little episode is that although on this occasion my mobile reception was the culprit, I may just as well have been elderly and unable to hold the phone to my ear, or had slight dementia or have been hard of hearing or uncomfortable speaking on the phone or without English as my first language. So, this rude, arrogant man - who evidently does not have the nous or the courtesy to curb his innate impatience - has just cost Denby Kitchen Company not only a 300 purchase but a customer for life and a very well-deserved negative review. (I'm only sorry that I had to give 1 star simply to post this.) And finally, the moral of this story? Be careful who you employ. PS I see that Google adds a 'thumbs up' icon - presumably because I gave DKC 1 star. It should, of course, be a big thumbs down!

If you are looking for a company to help design, supply and fit your new kitchen or bathroom then look no further. Barry, Cathy and Matt have been absolutely amazing from the moment we walked into their local showroom. Their ideas, advice and general knowledge are incomparable to other firms. They are patient, understanding and extremely thoughtful. They spend time getting to know you, your budget and your property and having them onboard with your renovations is invaluable. Their attention to detail and care not only with the product but with the service they offer is a huge credit to them all. We will recommend them far and wide and go straight back to them for any other work we will carry out on our property. I think its also worth mentioning they do a whole lot more than just kitchens and bathrooms, so go and see if they can help you. Service: Kitchen design
