Unfortunately we have found Maggie to be extremely unprofessional and unreliable and we cannot recommend her services at all. Maggie came to quote for making some curtains for us and also altering some existing curtains and we accepted her quote. At her specific recommendation we had the existing curtains dry-cleaned as shrinkage wasn't an issue but they came back with perished lining. Apparently that is quite common when you dry-clean curtains but Maggie didn't make us aware of this fact. We called her to tell her about this new issue and she assured us that she would do the alterations and new lining (at an additional cost which we agreed to) as soon as she had some available time in about four to six weeks' time. She also confirmed that our job was firmly in her diary. After stringing us along for a few more weeks we got an email from her saying that she wouldn't be doing the job after all claiming a heavy workload. In the meantime, we had to spread out the dry-cleaned curtains in a spare room to prevent irreversible creasing which is extremely inconvenient to say the least. Steer well clear!
