Trebarwith Strand is a hidden treasure. I have stayed at 'Overseas' twice. Both times it was excellent. The property, location and everything about it is gorgeous. So why the 3 star rating? The first time I stayed I had 10 deducted for extra cleaning because there was fake tan on the bed sheets- Fair enough! I'm sure it didn't need an extra clean but whatever its 10. However the second time I stayed 50 was deducted because a towel was bleached. I argued that I hadn't had any bleach in the property so it couldn't have been us. Genuinely. I objected to both the amount deducted and the fact it was deducted when we hadn't done anything wrong, but nevertheless the money was taken. I felt really ripped off after spending 2,700 on the rental and feel it's a bit of a scam. So my advice. Take your own towels. Forget the pre-holiday spray tan and take photo's of everything when you get there, so you have a leg to stand on as a charge for something seems inevitable
