The Anchorage Walmer

A brilliant holiday home, a 1 minute walk from the beach. It has a lovely relaxed coastal style, and it is beautifully maintained. Chris sent us all the info we could need and was quick to respond to any questions we had. He also made sure the house was ready to host our baby - high-chair, cot, baby-bath all set up by the time we arrived. Walmer/Deal is also a fascinating place to stay, full of naval history and architectural beauty. Heartily recommended. Photos are of the area, not the house, because Chriss photos of the house will be better!

We stayed at the anchorage for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The host Christopher was very helpful and communication was great. The guest guide had lots of information and recommendations to make our stay in Deal the best it could be. The location is fantastic for exploring Walmer, Deal and the surrounding areas. The cottage was spotless, decorated beautifully and was very very well equipped. There was lots of equipment (high chair/travel cot) for our toddler which made our stay a lot easier. Highly recommend a stay!
