They no longer serve food, nobody was buying. This place honestly deserves a negative, my house is more stocked than this pub. A pub that is never busy and never stocked! Delivery issues cant be an excuse for two years running. Charged me 9.20 for a vodka and coke, this is a seaside town with no main industries except retail, Im sure Id find a cheaper drink at the Ritz. Keeping in mind that the same drink in Wetherspoons across the road is 3.69 for a double. Youll never see more than four people in this pub, once a traditional local dive now turned into an overpriced sinking ship. This establishment will be sold within the next five years no doubt, avoid.

Nice pub. Unfortunately one of the rudest young barman I have experienced.. His mates drinking in the bar tried to kick us out before 11

As the New Inn, this used to be a great High Street boozer. Sadly, since it has become The Goodwin, all that has changed. Now, it's hardly open if you ever walk passed, and if you do venture in, you're unlikely to find anything you actually want to drink as it's normally "not on at the minute". It genuinely has the feeling that it's an effort to open for them, and the staff give off that feeling too, not particularly welcoming. I appreciate everywhere is struggling with the cost of living too recently, businesses included, however for 5.90 a pint, you'd think they could afford to turn the heating on. This review is not based on one visit but multiple, and now sadly the last.

Great service and friendly staff. Sadly they've stopped doing their awesome burgers which my partner and I miss and no doubt many others too. Hopefully that will return soon.
