I was told if I have proof of being exempt I dont have to wear one. I was saying it might be difficult to get a doctors letter by tomorrows appointment. Up to this point all perfectly amicable...
It was when the person I was talking to then piped up Oh my colleagues just informed me she has asthma and she can wear a mask just fine.
I found that comment so unnecessary and condescending. How is her situation relevant to mine? I do not think it is appropriate to be comparing my breathing difficulties to her colleagues, who has never met me and knows nothing about my full medical condition.
I then said I would leave it and go else where.
Just before she put the phone down I heard her say
WHAT A NUTTER!
Just WOW! Unbelievably unprofessional, RUDE, micky takers. If you want to be spoken about behind your back, ridiculed and patronised go here for your check ups ! Overall an upsetting experience and thats without even setting foot through the door.
