Barclays Bank

I was disappointed to hear that the Barclays bank in Deal was closing its doors .However the Barclays banking van will be visiting the Landmark centre in Deal from 14th February mon to Frid 10 till 2pm which i am pleased about i like to speak to a person so that is good news .

Barclays in Deal should really be open on a Wednesday, as it has to accommodate customers from a wide area. Shutting all weekend should be sufficient.

Ps Now a local branch 4 hours Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm at Landmark Centre by appointment and no cash or complicated transactions. Dover had a van service after closure but did not last long. The permanent branch shut February 11th 2022 despite there being queues to the door so clearly usage had not fallen. It's now on the market as lease assignment for conversion to residential or restaurant or retail. I'm sure it would make a good McD's or KFC for Deal. They now have a van calling every two weeks but if you are a long suffering Barclays customer that need a branch, Ramsgate now shuts on a Wednesday so don't waste your time going there and Folkestone and Canterbury are really too far. Ramsgate will shut next. Closes the 11th February 2021 leaving DDC without any Barclays branch. Shameful. Change banks. Was a full time branch but a few years ago they decided to close this branch on a Wednesday along with Whitstable. It opens four days a week on limited hours. It may shut in October 2021 but Barclays are dressing it up as a remote branch. I suspect it will close as Deal has been lucky not to lose any banks and without M and S closure becomes more of a possibility. There are still 4 other branches if it does go. This branch closes February 2022 and means Dover and Deal and Sandwich have no Barclays branch. Big fat zero. Shameful.

What bank is closed on a wednesday? Its just laughable, apart from barclays being a pretty incompetent and difficult bank, they can't even be bothered to turn up to work on a wednesday
